Go to eCitizen

What you need

  • The document, already certified by the office that issued it
  • A scanned copy to upload

Steps

  1. Get the document certified by the office that issued it (for example the university or registrar).
  2. Log in to eCitizen, open Foreign Affairs services, pick the authentication option for your type of document and upload the scanned copy.
  3. Pay the authentication fee on eCitizen.
  4. When you get a message that the document is authenticated, print the certificate yourself.

Watch out

  • The Ministry won't authenticate an uncertified document. Get it certified by the issuing office first.
  • You don't have to do it yourself. Someone else can upload the documents on your behalf, which helps if you're abroad.
  • If something needs fixing, the officer will tell you. The certificate is issued once you make the corrections.

Who can apply

  • Academic certificates
  • Birth and death certificates
  • Marriage certificates
  • Police clearance (good conduct) certificates
  • Medical certificates and reports
  • Notarized documents
