Your privacy

What we keep, and what we never do.

Kept on our servers

No names.

Only the question you typed, with ID numbers, PINs and phone numbers removed, so we can fix what we get wrong. No account, no profile.

Saved on this device

Nothing yet. When you tick documents on a checklist, it shows here, and only here.

  • We don't need your details.

No answer needs your ID number, KRA PIN or phone number, so we never ask for them. There's no account.

  • We remove numbers you send by mistake.

ID numbers, KRA PINs, phone numbers, M-Pesa codes, passport numbers and emails are removed before anything is stored.

  • Your question is in the page address.

So Back and Refresh work, your question shows in the address bar and your browser history. We never log page addresses, and we remove ID numbers and PINs before storing anything, but don't type them in.

  • We count visits, not people.

Our server tells Google Analytics which pages were opened, with the country and type of phone. There are no cookies, no Google scripts on your phone, and your question is never sent. No ad trackers, and we never sell data.

  • Questions are kept anonymously.

We keep the cleaned question for up to 12 months to see what people need and fix what we get wrong.

  • Feedback is anonymous.

Feedback, including the cleaned question a thumbs up or down was about, is kept for 180 days without your name or number.

  • Checklists stay on your phone.

Ticks on document and life-event checklists are saved in your own browser only. We never see them, and you can clear them below.
