Correct your name or personal details in TSC records
Teachers Service Commission · sources read 4 Oct 2026
Write to TSC asking it to amend your personal information: say what is wrong, how, and what the correct details are. The law requires TSC to fix out-of-date or wrong personal records at its own expense.
- Fee
- We couldn't confirm a fee from the official page. Check it there before you pay.
- Where
- In writing to the Teachers Service Commission (general email info@tsc.go.ke). New certificates: TSC Online (tsconline.tsc.go.ke).
Steps
- Write to TSC and say clearly that this is a request to amend your personal information.
- List each detail that is wrong (for example your name or date of birth) and explain how it is wrong or out of date.
- Say exactly what you want done, such as the correct spelling of your name.
- Need a new registration certificate showing the changed details? Apply for a duplicate certificate on TSC Online and choose 'I wish to change my particulars'.
Watch out
- Correcting your records is at TSC's own expense, so you shouldn't be charged for it.
- A new certificate is separate: the duplicate certificate costs KSh 2,050, non-refundable, paid through eCitizen.
- Not sure where to send your request? Email info@tsc.go.ke or call 020-2892000.
Who can apply
- Anyone whose personal information held by TSC is out of date, inaccurate or incomplete.
