What you need
- An eCitizen account
Steps
- Sign in to your eCitizen account and open the Kenya Wildlife Service portal (kws.ecitizen.go.ke).
- Choose "Tour operator annual form", fill it in and apply.
- For each vehicle you take into the parks, apply for its yearly access pass using "Vehicle annual application form" and pay.
- After you apply, print the document the portal gives you and keep it.
Watch out
- Vehicles based outside the park pay much more: a 6-12 seater pays KSh 60,000 a year, against KSh 15,000 if it is stationed in the park.
- This KWS licence is not your business licence. Tour operators are licensed separately by the Tourism Regulatory Authority (TRA Class C).
