Get or renew a Homa Bay County business permit

Apply for your Homa Bay business permit, wait for approval and a bill, then pay by M-Pesa on the county E-Payments portal (homabay.craftcollect.africa). Permits expire on 31 December, and paying after 31 March adds a 25% penalty.

Steps
- Apply for the permit. Fill a separate application form for each business premises you run.
- Wait until your application is approved and the county issues a proper bill. Don't pay before that.
- Pay the bill by M-Pesa on the county E-Payments portal (homabay.craftcollect.africa) and get an instant digital receipt.
- Collect your permit and hang it where it can be clearly seen at your business.
Watch out
- Every permit expires on 31 December, whatever month you paid. Renew each year.
- The permit is not a receipt, so keep your payment receipt too.
- The permit only covers the premises, business type and plot on it. Moving or changing owner needs a formal request to the county.

- Anyone who wants to run a business listed in the Homa Bay County Finance Act.
