Pay Laikipia County land rates online on Laikipia Pay (laikipiapay.com): search your land block or title number, generate an invoice and pay by M-Pesa. Pay by 31 March each year to avoid a late-payment penalty.

What you need
- Your National ID number, phone number and email address, to open a Laikipia Pay account
- Your land block number or title number
Steps
- Create an account on laikipiapay.com with your National ID number, phone number and email, then confirm the OTP sent to your phone.
- Check your land rates balance by searching your land block number or title number.
- Select your land block and generate an invoice.
- Pay by M-Pesa paybill or STK push. With STK push, enter your M-Pesa PIN when the prompt pops up on your phone.
- Once payment is confirmed, download your receipt from the portal.
Watch out
- Can't pay it all at once? Laikipia Pay accepts part payments.
- You can only download a land clearance certificate after clearing your full balance.
- The county Finance Act sets land rates at 0.2% of the site value in Laikipia East, West and North.
Who can apply
- Owners of land or buildings in Laikipia County, including holders of leases with 21 years or more left
- In some cases the person occupying the property is the one who pays
