Register and get prequalified as a KEMSA supplier

KEMSA registers suppliers once every two years and updates the list every six months for new applicants. Watch kemsa.go.ke and tenders.go.ke for the registration notice and tenders, download the documents free, and register your bid with the Procurement Office before the deadline.

Steps
- Watch for KEMSA's supplier registration notice and tenders in the newspapers, on kemsa.go.ke and on the government tenders portal (tenders.go.ke).
- Download the tender or registration documents for free from the KEMSA website or tenders.go.ke.
- Register your bid with the KEMSA Procurement Office or by email to procure@kemsa.go.ke, so you get any clarifications or addenda.
- Drop your sealed bid in the named tender box at the National Supply Chain Centre, Embakasi (off Airport North Road) before the closing time.
- Once prequalified, KEMSA sends you requests for quotation; reply with a quote that meets the specifications.
Watch out
- Full registration happens only once every two years, with updates every six months. If you miss a window, wait for the next update.
- Late bids are returned unopened. There are no exceptions.
- KEMSA pays AGPO suppliers within 30 days and other contracts within 90 days, so plan your cash flow.
Who can apply
- Any supplier can bid on open tenders; some tenders are reserved for local manufacturers or for disadvantaged groups (AGPO).
