Register as a KLB customer (cash or credit account) and order online

Log in at customer.klb.co.ke with your eCitizen details, choose a personal or business account, then fill in your details and upload your documents. Once KLB approves you, you can order and pay invoices via eCitizen.

What you need
- Current trade licence (expiry date clearly visible)
- Business registration certificate and number
- Current KRA tax compliance certificate
- Kenya Booksellers & Stationers (KBS) membership certificate
- Copy of the owner's national ID or passport
- Partnerships/companies: ID copies of at least 2 partners or directors, plus CR12
- Credit account only: audited financial statements for the last 2 years
- Credit account only: recommendation letters from 2 organisations that give you credit
Steps
- Go to customer.klb.co.ke and log in with your eCitizen details. Choose to get the one-time password by SMS.
- Pick the account to use: personal for individuals, business for companies.
- Accept the data protection notice, fill in your details, attach your documents and submit.
- Wait for KLB to review your documents. Once approved, you can place and track orders.
- To pay, open My invoices and click 'pay via eCitizen'.
Watch out
- Place your first order within 3 months of registering, or KLB deactivates the account.
- On a credit account, overdue balances attract a 2% penalty.
Who can apply
- Individuals (personal account) and companies such as booksellers (business account).
