Where
Online on the NCPWD website (Infrastructure and Equipment for Institutions page)
Go to NCPWD

What you need

  • Filled Infrastructure and Equipment application form
  • Bill of quantities from the Public Works Department
  • The institution's certificate of registration
  • List of management and board members with their ID numbers and contacts
  • Recommendation letter from the DSDO (disability services officer)
  • Project proposal with a budget
  • Management minutes approving the project
  • For equipment: original invoices
  • Land ownership document
  • Approvals from the relevant authorities, and the project manager's name and qualifications

Steps

  1. On NCPWD's 'Infrastructure and Equipment for Institutions' page, click 'Apply now' and download the application form. Fill it in.
  2. Enter the organisation's name, home county and the applicant's name, ID number, disability number, email and phone.
  3. Attach the documents (one file per field; combine pages into one file where needed) and submit.

Watch out

  • Applications only go through if the applicant's name, ID number and disability number match NCPWD's records, so register with NCPWD first.
  • The bill of quantities must come from the Public Works Department, not a private quantity surveyor.
  • The online form also asks for the group's constitution, which isn't on the page's main list. Have it ready.

Who can apply

  • Education institutions, including special schools and special units, and social service organisations, including NGOs and social care institutions, that serve persons with disabilities.
  • Examples: accessible toilets, expanding a disability unit, accessible desks and chairs, or ICT for students with visual impairments.
