Buy breeding cattle, seed and feeds from ADC

Contact ADC on 020 2250185 or info@adc.go.ke to buy pedigree dairy or beef cattle, KEPHIS-certified seed maize, bean seed or animal feeds. Seed is sold through ADC's retail and wholesale channels in 2kg to 25kg bags.

Steps
- Decide what you need: dairy breeds (Friesian, Ayrshire, Guernsey, Jersey, Brown Swiss), beef breeds (like Boran or Sahiwal), seed maize, bean seed or feeds. ADC's product pages describe each one.
- For seed, buy ADC maize (KH600-23A, KH600-16A, KH500-52A) or bean seed in 2kg, 5kg, 10kg or 25kg bags.
- For cattle, ask which ADC farm keeps the breed you want. Friesians, for example, are at ADC Namandala and ADC Lanet.
- For animal feeds (dairy, poultry, pig), buy from ADC seed shops or its distributors around the country.
- Call ADC head office on 020 2250185 or email info@adc.go.ke to check stock and arrange your purchase. There is no online shop.
Watch out
- Match maize seed to your area: the KH600 series is for highlands of 1,800 to 2,500 m.
- For dry areas like Machakos, Makueni or Kitui, ADC recommends KH500-52A (Kiboko), which is drought tolerant.
- Friesians give a lot of milk but need a lot of care and do best under zero grazing.
