Check if a Kenya Power staff member or contractor is genuine (Jua For Sure)

Dial *977# and choose 'Jua for sure', then 'staff' or 'contractor', or open the myPower app and tap 'Jua for sure'. Type the staff number from their ID tag and check the photo matches the person in front of you.

What you need
- The staff number on the person's Kenya Power ID tag
Steps
- Dial *977#, choose 'Jua for sure', pick 'staff' or 'contractor' and follow the prompts.
- Or open the myPower app and select 'Jua for sure' on the home page.
- Type the staff number from their tag, then check the photo shown is the same person standing in front of you.
- If it doesn't match, report the fraudster at once on the Anti-Fraud Hotline 0718 999 000.
Watch out
- A matching staff number is not enough: the photo on screen must match the face in front of you.
- To report a staff member's misconduct, dial *977#, choose 'report incidences', then 'Staff misconduct', and enter their staff number.
