Where
Online on rba.go.ke, or RBA offices at 13th Floor, Rahimtulla Towers, Upper Hill Road, Nairobi
Go to RBA

Steps

  1. For a pension company, open RBA's directory of licensed service providers and download the list you need: fund managers, administrators, custodians or corporate trustees.
  2. For a personal pension plan or income drawdown fund, open 'Schemes Registration Requirements' on rba.go.ke and download the registered lists.
  3. Can't find the name? Call RBA's toll-free line 0800720300 and ask.

Watch out

  • A pension scheme must be registered by RBA before it can operate. If it isn't on RBA's lists, ask RBA before you put money in.
  • Using an unlicensed pension service provider breaks the Retirement Benefits Act. RBA tells schemes to check their providers against these lists.
  • The lists are snapshots on a date. The personal pension plan list is as at 31 January 2026, so a newer plan may not appear yet.

Who can apply

  • Anyone can check. The lists are public, for scheme members, trustees and sponsors.
