If you're Kenyan and took another country's citizenship, declare it on the eFNS portal within 3 months (KSh 10,000). If you lost Kenyan citizenship by birth when you became a citizen elsewhere, apply on eFNS to regain it (KSh 50,000).

- Regaining citizenship takes much longer: about 6 months.
- Getting your foreign passport endorsed as Kenyan is optional. First check that the other country allows it.
Who can apply
- Dual citizenship is allowed in Kenya. Kenyans who become citizens of another country must declare it.
- Regaining is for people who were Kenyan by birth and lost Kenyan citizenship because they took another country's citizenship.
