Get a HELB compliance or clearance certificate

Log in to the HELB portal or eCitizen and download your compliance certificate. It's free, and it's for people who are up to date with repayments, still in the grace period, or never took a HELB loan. If you have fully repaid, request a clearance certificate instead.

Steps
- Log in to the HELB portal or eCitizen and apply for the compliance certificate (loanee or non-loanee).
- Download the certificate from the portal. If you get stuck, email contactcentre@helb.co.ke or call 0711052000.
- Finished repaying? Request a clearance certificate on the HELB portal, or go to a Huduma Centre or HELB's office at Anniversary Towers (ground floor), Nairobi.
Watch out
- You can download it only if you have kept up with repayments. If you are behind, clear the arrears first.
- The certificate is free. Don't pay anyone to get it for you.
Who can apply
- HELB borrowers who are up to date with repayment, or still within the repayment grace period.
- People who never took a HELB loan (non-loanee compliance certificate).
- Borrowers who have fully repaid get a clearance certificate.
