Get a Uasin Gishu County fire inspection certificate for business premises

Ask Uasin Gishu County's Fire Fighting and Disaster Management team to inspect your premises (KSh 1,000 inspection fee), then pay for the certificate for your type of premises. A factory pays KSh 2,000, a petrol station KSh 5,000 and a mall or multi-business building KSh 5,000 per floor, the same in Eldoret and the sub-counties.

Steps
- Contact the Uasin Gishu County fire station (0710 64 64 64) to book a fire inspection of your premises.
- Pay the KSh 1,000 inspection fee and let the county officers inspect your premises.
- Pay the certificate fee for your type of premises (factory, petrol or filling station, mall per floor) and collect your certificate of inspection.
Watch out
- Factories pay KSh 1,000 again for each follow-up visit, so fix any problems before the inspector comes.
- The county also runs basic fire awareness training for staff at KSh 4,000 per day.
