Get accredited by COC as a CPD provider or clinical medicine training institution

What you need

• CPD providers: an accreditation application and the relevant supporting documents
• Training institutions: a Training Needs Assessment report
• Training institutions: the COC core curriculum
• Training institutions: the COC list of Training and Accreditation Standards (SMR)

Steps

1. CPD provider: apply to COC for accreditation and upload the relevant documents.
2. Training institution: submit a Training Needs Assessment report, then get the COC core curriculum and the Training and Accreditation Standards (SMR).
3. Pay for the accreditation inspection. COC then inspects you; the charter target is 21 days.
4. Once accredited, expect quarterly support inspections and send COC a self-evaluation report every year.

Who can apply

• Organisations that want to offer Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to clinical officers.
• Colleges and universities training clinical officers. COC only accredits institutions that meet its training standards.
