Get building plans approved by Kericho County

Submit your building plans to the county Lands, Housing and Physical Planning department and pay approval fees by floor area. For a house up to 46 m2 that is KSh 1,900 for the architectural plan and KSh 900 for the structural plan.

Steps
- Submit your architectural plans and pay the approval fee for your floor area.
- Pay the separate structural plan fee, also by floor area.
- Pay the public health plan certification fee (KSh 1,000 for a single-level house).
- When the building is done, get an occupational certificate before moving in.
Watch out
- Moving in without an occupation certificate attracts KSh 15,000 per unit.
