Get EACC clearance (self-declaration form) for a public job

Download the self-declaration form from eacc.go.ke, fill in two copies, sign in front of a Commissioner for Oaths or Magistrate, attach copies of your ID, KRA PIN and academic certificates, then hand it in at an EACC office or Huduma Centre. No certificate is issued; EACC reports directly to the employer.

What you need
- The EACC self-declaration form, filled in twice (two copies)
- A copy of your ID card or passport
- Your KRA PIN certificate
- Your academic certificates
Steps
- Download the Self Declaration Form (Clearance Form) from the EACC website.
- Fill in two copies of the form and attach your ID or passport copy, KRA PIN certificate and academic certificates.
- Sign the form in front of a Commissioner for Oaths or a Magistrate, who witnesses your signature.
- Hand it in yourself, or have someone drop it for you, at EACC Head Office (Integrity Centre, Nairobi), any EACC regional office or a Huduma Centre.
- EACC checks the details and stamps one copy as acknowledgement. Keep that stamped copy.
Watch out
- You won't get a certificate. EACC sends a confidential report on shortlisted applicants straight to the employer or panel.
- Don't submit the form online. Hand it in at an office.
- Tell the truth on the form. Giving EACC false information is an offence punishable by a fine of KSh 5 million, 5 years in jail, or both.
