- If you missed an entry grade in a core subject, apply for the aptitude test or upgrade exam at puexam.kndi.institute.
- After finishing your course (degree students also pass the oral exam), apply for the licensing exam on the KNDI portal and upload your documents.
- Sit the exam in June or November. Pay the balance of the exam fee when or right after you sit.
- If you pass, you can apply for KNDI registration and your practising licence.
Watch out
- You can resit the licensing exam only once, in the next sitting.
- Upgrade students must attend every online revision class, or they cannot sit the exam.
- Your registration certificate and licence carry the name of the exam option you sit, so choose carefully.
Who can apply
- Indexing: students admitted to a KNDI-accredited college for a nutrition and dietetics certificate, diploma or degree. Apply in your first semester or term.
- Licensing exam: all nutrition and dietetics graduates at certificate, diploma or degree level must pass it before they can be licensed.
- Upgrade exam: students admitted without the legal entry grades in Biology, Chemistry, English/Kiswahili or Mathematics.
