Steps

  1. Pick the rate that fits your shoot. Photo sessions run from KSh 10,000 to KSh 20,000; commercial filming is USD 1,500.
  2. Email publicrelations@museums.or.ke to book. Say which museum or site, the date and what kind of shoot it is.

Watch out

  • Taking your own photos as a visitor is fine, as long as you don't disturb others and don't use them commercially. You only book when the shoot is paid work or commercial.
  • Commercial photography under NMK's photography policy is charged USD 1,500, not the KSh session rates.

Who can apply

  • Anyone who wants a paid photo or video shoot. NMK offers commercial photography at all its museums and sites across Kenya.
