Grade 10 senior school selection and placement (CBC)

Grade 9 learners choose their pathway, subject combination and preferred senior schools on the Ministry's selection portal. The Ministry then does the placing, and joining instructions appear on the placement portal.

Steps
- Log in to the selection portal (selection.education.go.ke) and look at the pathways: STEM, Social Sciences, or Arts and Sports.
- Pick your pathway, subject combination and preferred senior schools, then submit.
- Download your selection confirmation slip and keep it.
- After placement, check the placement portal (placement.education.go.ke) for your school and joining instructions.
- Need a different school? When a review window opens, ask the head of your Junior School (or of the senior school you want) to submit a review request on the placement portal.
Watch out
- Choosing schools is not the same as getting placed. Your choices are reviewed, and the placement portal shows where you actually go.
- A placement review needs real, verifiable reasons, and only the school head can submit it for you.

- Grade 9 learners moving up to Senior School.
