Meet KMPDC CPD requirements and check your CPD points

Doctors and dentists need at least 50 CPD points every calendar year (1 January to 31 December) to stay on the KMPDC register. Claim and check your points on the iCPD portal (cpd.icpdkenya.org).

- Token claims show at once; other claims are accepted or rejected within 3 working days

- Online on the iCPD portal used by KMPDC (cpd.icpdkenya.org). Help: cpd@kmpdc.go.ke.
What you need
- Proof of each activity you claim without a token (certificate, letter or attendance proof), as a PDF of 2 MB or less
Steps
- Go to cpd.icpdkenya.org, click Register Now and enter your name, email and password. Verify your email from the link sent to you.
- Fill every profile section (details, photo, academics, specialisation, workplace) and submit. The CPD team approves your account within 72 hours.
- For an event that gave you a CPD token, click Claim points, enter the token number and submit. The points show at once.
- For other activities, choose Non-Token Claims, fill in the activity details and upload your evidence as a PDF (2 MB max).
- Check your total for this year or past years in your CPD Portfolio. You can also print your CPD diary there.
Watch out
- Missing your CPD points can get you suspended from the register and your annual practice licence cancelled.
- Activity dates must fall inside the CPD year (1 January to 31 December).
- Sick, disabled or on special duty? Apply to KMPDC in writing, with evidence, for an exemption.
Who can apply
- Every medical and dental practitioner registered with KMPDC.
- If you apply for a non-clinical practice licence, you don't need to show CPD points to get it.
