Notify the National Employment Authority (NEA) of job vacancies (employers)

National Employment Authority · sources read 5 Oct 2026

Under the National Employment Authority Act, every national government State office, public office or national entity must send details of each vacancy to NEA, and must give priority to qualified jobseekers registered with NEA before advertising. Private and informal-sector employers have no such duty in the Act: NEA finds their vacancies itself and shares them with jobseekers.

Go to NEA

Steps

  1. When a vacancy arises in a national State or public office, send its details to NEA.
  2. Give priority to jobseekers registered with NEA who have the qualifications or skills you need.
  3. Only if NEA's database has no one with the right qualifications, invite applications through adverts.
  4. You can also ask NEA for data on qualified youth to consider for the job.

Watch out

  • NEA must circulate a notified vacancy immediately to all jobseekers registered with it, so expect applications from its register.
  • A registered jobseeker who gets the job must tell NEA, which then removes them from its register.

Who can apply

  • Applies to State offices, public offices and national entities at the national government level.
  • Private, informal and other sectors: NEA itself establishes their vacancies; the Act does not order them to notify NEA.
