Steps

  1. For a one-off visit, pay the daily on-street parking fee for your vehicle type.
  2. If you park often, buy a seasonal parking ticket for a private vehicle instead: 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.
  3. Pay only to the county receiver of revenue (Kakamega County Revenue Agency) through its official channels, and keep the official receipt. An electronic payment confirmation counts as a receipt.
  4. If your vehicle was clamped, pay the KSh 2,000 clamping charge to the county.

Watch out

  • Only people appointed in writing by the county receiver of revenue may collect county money. Don't pay anyone else.
  • Never tamper with a clamp. Damaging one costs KSh 4,000.

Who can apply

  • Anyone who parks a vehicle in a designated parking area in Kakamega County, and anyone running a transport business in the county.
