Pay parking fees in Turkana County

Parking a car in Lodwar, Lokichar, Kakuma, Kainuk, Kalokol or Lokichoggio costs KSh 100 a day (KSh 50 in other towns). A monthly ticket is KSh 2,000 in those major towns and KSh 1,000 elsewhere; pay a county parking attendant and display the ticket.

Steps
- For one day, pay KSh 100 for a car in Lodwar, Lokichar, Kakuma, Kainuk, Kalokol or Lokichoggio.
- In other Turkana towns the daily fee is KSh 50.
- If you park often, a monthly ticket is KSh 2,000 in the major towns (KSh 1,000 elsewhere), or KSh 20,000 a year.
- Pay a county parking attendant. You get a temporary parking permit: put it where officers can see it on the vehicle.
Watch out
- Don't skip the fee. County officers can impound a vehicle whose parking is unpaid.
- If your car is clamped, unclamping a saloon, pickup or station wagon costs KSh 500. If it is towed, the towing fee is KSh 10,000.
- Never tamper with a clamp. The charge is KSh 10,000 per clamp.

- Anyone parking a saloon car, station wagon or pickup in a Turkana County town.
