Register an architecture or quantity surveying firm with BORAQS (Form B3)

Fill BORAQS Form B3 and hand it in with your company papers, KSh 1 million professional indemnity cover, KRA PIN and VAT certificates and the KSh 20,000 registration fee. Once registered, the firm pays a KSh 10,000 subscription.

What you need
- Company or business registration certificate
- Memorandum and Articles (limited firms) or deed for partnerships
- CR12 (limited firms)
- Professional indemnity insurance certificate of at least KSh 1 million
- KRA PIN and VAT certificates
- Sample of your firm's headed paper
Steps
- Download Form B3 from the BORAQS website and fill in the firm's details, directors and professional staff.
- Attach the company papers, CR12, insurance certificate, PIN and VAT certificates and sample headed paper.
- Pay the KSh 20,000 registration fee, have all directors sign, and hand in the form to BORAQS.
Watch out
- BORAQS won't register a firm that shares directors with another firm, or whose directors work for other firms.
- You must tell BORAQS straight away about any change to the firm's details.
Who can apply
- Sole proprietor, partnership or limited liability firms practising architecture or quantity surveying.
- Directors or partners are listed with their BORAQS (Cap 525) registration numbers.
