Register or renew as a NITA-registered training provider

What you need

• Registration or incorporation certificate
• PIN/VAT certificate
• Memorandum and Articles of Association (or registered constitution)
• NITA registration certificate and NITA payment receipt
• Registered lease or sub-lease, or title deed, for your premises
• Appointment letters or contracts, CVs, IDs/passports and certificates for the lead trainer and all resource persons
• Work permits for any foreign resource person

Steps

1. Register with NITA as a training levy contributor first; you need that NITA registration number on the form.
2. Apply online on portal.nita.go.ke/trainers and pay the fee through eCitizen.
3. Submit your original documents and copies so NITA can certify the copies as true.
4. NITA processes the application within 30 days of receiving it with all documents.
5. To renew, apply online and attach returns on the training you ran in the past year.

Who can apply

• Training firms and institutions that are registered with NITA as levy contributors.
• Fill one application per training category (for example management and supervisory, technical skills, first aid, fire and safety, defensive driving, private security, occupational safety and health).
