- Passport-size photo
Steps
- Go for a disability medical assessment at a government-gazetted hospital (a level 4 government hospital) and get the report signed by the County Director of Medical Services.
- Create an eCitizen account if you don't have one, then log in at ncpwd.ecitizen.go.ke.
- Click "Register as a person with Disability", follow the steps and upload your documents. For a child, a parent or guardian applies from their own account and picks "Minor".

Watch out
- Only government-gazetted hospitals can do the disability assessment, so get it done at one of them.
- The registration certificate has to be renewed, currently every five years, even if your disability is permanent.
- To register a child, the parent or guardian applying needs their own eCitizen account.
Who can apply
- Persons with disabilities of any age. Registering lets you get government services offered through the Council, such as job placement.
