Renew a health facility's annual KMPDC licence

Log in to the KMPDC Online Services Portal (osp.kmpdc.go.ke), fill the services form, upload a valid professional indemnity cover and pay the invoice on M-Pesa Paybill 222222. Fees run from KSh 5,000 (dispensary) to KSh 90,000 (level 5 hospital).

- Online on the KMPDC Online Services Portal (osp.kmpdc.go.ke). KMPDC offices: Woodlands Road, Hurlingham, Nairobi.
What you need
- A valid professional indemnity cover for the facility
- The online services availability form, filled on the portal
- The facility's KMPDC registration number, exactly as on the registration certificate
- If you employ foreign practitioners: written approval from the Cabinet Secretary for Health
Steps
- Log in to osp.kmpdc.go.ke with your facility account. No account yet? Click Create Account, choose Health Facility and enter the registration number and the email you registered with.
- Fill the services availability form, upload your valid indemnity cover and submit the renewal application.
- Pay the system invoice on eCitizen or M-Pesa: Paybill 222222, account number is your invoice number, amount as shown.
- When KMPDC confirms payment, you get an SMS and email. Download and print the licence and hang it where patients can see it.
Watch out
- Never pay without an invoice number from a completed portal application. Payments without one are not accepted.
- No valid indemnity cover, no renewal. Renew the insurance first.
- Running a health facility on an expired licence is a criminal offence under the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Act.
Who can apply
- Health facilities already registered by KMPDC. The licence must be renewed every year.
- Only facilities in good standing with KMPDC can renew.
