Report a substandard product to KEBS

Call the free KEBS hotline 1545 or fill in the complaint form on the KEBS website to report a product you think is substandard. KEBS then investigates, including testing and inspections.

Steps
- Report the product by calling the KEBS hotline 1545 (toll free) or by filling in the online complaint form on the KEBS website.
- KEBS investigates your report. This can include testing the product, inspections and checking documents.
- If the product breaks the standard, KEBS can issue warnings, recall it, fine the seller or maker, revoke permits or prosecute.
Watch out
- KEBS does not handle products with medical claims or pesticides, so report those to the right regulator instead.
- Before you report, you can check the product's mark by sending SM#PERMIT NUMBER by SMS to 20023.
