- Contact Kenya Railways freight marketing on 0709 907 000 or 0709 907 555, or marketing@krc.co.ke.
- Fill in the Kenya Railways customer creation form.
- Pay the freight charges, which are set by the Kenya Railways Tariff Book.
- Provide your own security seals, plastic lining, lashing materials and labour where needed. Transport starts once you've paid.
Watch out
- You're charged for at least 200 km of rail distance, even for shorter trips.
- Load and unload quickly: wagons held past the free loading or unloading time attract demurrage per wagon per day.
Who can apply
- Businesses moving containers, bulk liquids, dry bulk, project and industrial cargo, or transit cargo for Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan and DRC.
