  • Temporary pass: your ID card, passport or driving licence (you leave it with security)

Steps

  1. On the KAA Airport Passes page, read the conditions for a pass and download the application form you need.
  2. Print and sign the form, then submit it together with the signed declaration.
  3. For a permanent pass, apply at Kenya Airports Authority Headquarters.
  4. For a temporary pass, go to the KAA security office at JKIA with your reason and supporting documents. Temporary Access Permits are now issued behind Paul's Café, next to Equity Bank, at JKIA.

Watch out

  • For a temporary pass you must leave your ID, passport or driving licence with the security office until you return the pass.
  • A temporary pass is not automatic: it is issued at the discretion of the Managing Director, General Manager Security or the Airport Manager.

Who can apply

  • Members of the public who need to access the airport's restricted areas. Temporary passes are given at the discretion of KAA management.
