What you need
- At the interview: your original national ID, academic and professional certificates and transcripts
- If the advert asks for them: clearances from KRA, EACC, HELB, a credit reference bureau (CRB) and a DCI police clearance certificate
Steps
- Register on the PSC jobs portal with your ID or passport number, surname, email address and a password.
- Log in with your ID or passport number and password, then pick an advertised job.
- Fill in your personal details, qualifications, experience, professional bodies and referees before you submit. Incomplete applications are not considered.
- Print and keep the Feedback Report (your application summary).
- Watch the PSC website: names of shortlisted candidates are published there.
Watch out
- PSC never charges for applying, shortlisting, interviews or appointment. Anyone asking you for money is a fraudster.
- Check the advert category first. Some posts are for serving public officers only.
- Giving false information is a crime: a fine of up to KSh 200,000, up to two years in jail, or both.
