Public Service Commission · sources read 30 Sep 2026
Create an account on the PSC jobs portal (psckjobs.go.ke), fill in your full profile and apply for the internship when it is advertised. It is for unemployed Kenyan graduates, runs for 12 months and pays a monthly stipend.
- Fee
- We couldn't confirm a fee from the official page. Check it there before you pay.
- Where
- Online on the PSC jobs portal (psckjobs.go.ke) when an internship is advertised
What you need
- Your ID or passport number and a working email address to register on the portal
- Details of your academic and professional qualifications, experience, professional body membership and referees
Steps
- Register on psckjobs.go.ke with your ID or passport number, surname, email address and a password.
- Log in with your ID or passport number and password, then open the internship opportunities.
- Fill in every part of your profile (personal details, qualifications, experience, referees) before you submit. Incomplete applications are not considered.
- Print and keep your application summary (Feedback Report) from the Report tab.
Watch out
- The internship does not automatically lead to a government job. You still have to apply and compete for jobs later.
- Interns get a monthly stipend (and subsistence allowance when out of station). PSC sets the rates by circular, so check the current advert for the amount.
- Giving false information to PSC is an offence: a fine of up to KSh 200,000, up to two years in jail, or both.
Who can apply
- Unemployed Kenyan graduates who finished their degree in the last three years and have no work experience in their field.
- Degree and diploma graduates who need an internship to register with their professional body.
- Not open to people who have retired or left formal employment, or who have been on a similar programme before.
