Buy goods from or supply goods to Kenya National Trading Corporation (KNTC)

Kenya National Trading Corporation · sources read 5 Oct 2026

KNTC sells goods wholesale to businesses and supplies retail outlets. To buy, ask a KNTC depot or head office for a proforma invoice or pricing; KNTC says it quotes within 1 day. To supply goods to KNTC as a local manufacturer or trader, send a letter of interest with your company profile and business registration documents. Both are free. KNTC's own pages do not describe a separate distributor application.

What you need

  • To become a trading partner: a letter of interest, your company profile and business registration documents

Steps

  1. To buy, contact the nearest KNTC depot (Nairobi, Karatina, Kitale, Meru, Nakuru, Eldoret, Machakos or Kisumu) or the head office on Yarrow Road off Nanyuki Road, Industrial Area, Nairobi. Numbers and emails are on kntc.go.ke/contact-us.
  2. Ask for a proforma invoice or pricing. KNTC's service charter says you get a quotation within 1 day, free.
  3. To supply goods to KNTC, send a letter expressing interest to trade with KNTC, with your company profile and business registration documents. General enquiries go to saleshq@kntc.go.ke and bd@kntc.go.ke.
  4. Wait for feedback. KNTC aims to respond to a trading-partner registration within 2 weeks.

Watch out

  • Supplying KNTC's own office needs is different: that needs a registered business and KNTC's advertised pre-qualification exercise, with feedback within 3 months of the advert.
  • KNTC's service charter lists these services as free. KNTC's pages do not set out a separate distributor or agent scheme, so confirm terms with the depot before paying anyone.

Who can apply

  • Buying: businesses that want to buy in bulk (wholesalers and retailers).
  • Supplying goods to KNTC: local manufacturers or traders.
