Choose an NTSA-licensed driving school
National Transport and Safety Authority · sources read 1 Oct 2026
Learn to drive only at a driving school licensed by NTSA. You must be 18 or older, then you apply for a provisional licence (PDL) and hand the form to your school.
- Fee
- We couldn't confirm a fee from the official page. Check it there before you pay.
- Where
- At an NTSA-licensed driving school; the PDL is applied for on the NTSA service portal (eCitizen login)
Steps
- Pick a driving school that NTSA has licensed and enrol there. NTSA says the list of licensed schools is on its website.
- Log in to eCitizen, open the NTSA service portal, apply for a provisional driving licence (PDL) and submit the form to your driving school.
- Train with an 'L' plate on the car, visible from at least 20 metres at the front and back.
- After your PDL has matured (21 days), book your NTSA driving test.
Watch out
- NTSA does not set what the school charges for lessons. The fee depends on the school, so compare before you pay.
- Your PDL is valid for 3 months, so plan your lessons and test within that time.
- NTSA licenses both driving schools and driving instructors, so a proper school should hold an NTSA licence.
Who can apply
- Learners aged 18 and above
