Pass the COC pre-internship exam, then wait for the Ministry of Health posting order (published on the COC Downloads page). Download your internship licence from the COC portal and report to your centre for the one-year internship.

Steps
- Pass the COC pre-internship exam. Successful candidates are posted for a one-year internship.
- Check the posting order on the COC Downloads page to see your internship centre.
- Download your internship licence from portal.clinicalofficerscouncil.org.
- Report to your internship centre, where the logbook and code of conduct are sent.
Watch out
- Starting internship without a logbook or internship licence attracts a KSh 2,500 penalty.
- Diploma and degree internship is one year; after a Higher Diploma it is six months.
- After internship, submit your registration documents within 3 months to avoid penalties.
Who can apply
- Clinical officers who passed the COC pre-internship exam after training at an approved institution.
