Apply on the NTSA Service Portal (log in with eCitizen), attach your passport copy, immigration exemption letter and a valid licence from any country, and pay KSh 1,000. It takes about 5 working days.

- Copy of your passport
- Letter of exemption from Immigration
- A valid driving licence from any country
Steps
- Log in to the NTSA Service Portal with your eCitizen account.
- Apply for the Technical Staff Category G (Gratis) licence and upload your passport copy, Immigration exemption letter and valid licence.
- Pay the KSh 1,000 application fee.
Watch out
- Get the exemption letter from Immigration first. NTSA lists it as a requirement.
- Your home licence must still be valid when you apply.
Who can apply
- Staff granted exemptions who give voluntary services in Kenya, such as missionaries and Red Cross workers.
