- Apply online for the KDB import, export or transit permit you need.

Watch out
- Importing costs far more than exporting: KSh 100,000 a year for an import permit versus KSh 1,000 for export.
- You apply on KenTrade, not on the KDB permit portal used by milk bars and processors.
- KDB keeps inspecting after it issues a permit, and breaking the rules can get it suspended.
Who can apply
- Import permit: anyone bringing milk or dairy products into Kenya.
- Export permit: anyone supplying milk or dairy products out of Kenya.
- Transit permit: anyone moving milk or dairy products through Kenya to another country.
