- How long
- Within 60 days for an auditor licence (audit firms: within 30 days)
- Where
- Online on the EPRA licensing portal (portal.epra.go.ke). EPRA head office: Eagle Africa Centre, Longonot Road, Upper Hill, Nairobi.
Steps
- Go to the License Application page on www.epra.go.ke and click Apply Now to open the licensing portal.
- Choose the energy auditor or energy audit firm licence and your class, fill in the application and attach the documents EPRA asks for.
- Pay the application fee for your class. EPRA also charges a grant fee and an annual renewal fee for each class (see fees).
Watch out
- Once licensed you appear on EPRA's public register of energy auditors (or audit firms), which clients can check.
- A firm licence is separate from your personal auditor licence, so a firm needs its own EAF1 or EAF2 licence.
Who can apply
- Anyone who wants to work as an accredited energy auditor. EPRA keeps the list of accredited auditors.
