Get back a deposit or performance guarantee from KeNHA

Ask KeNHA to inspect the finished works. Once you have a completion certificate, send your bank details and as-built drawings, and KeNHA's charter says the refund takes 7 working days at no charge.

What you need

Steps
- When the works are done, write to KeNHA asking for an inspection.
- After the inspection, KeNHA issues a completion certificate.
- Submit your bank details and as-built drawings so KeNHA can refund the deposit or release the guarantee.
Watch out
- KeNHA charges nothing to process the refund.
- Taking longer than 7 working days? KeNHA's charter says to report it to the KeNHA Director General (dg@kenha.co.ke, complaints@kenha.co.ke) or the Commission on Administrative Justice.
