Get building plans approved by Wajir County

Take your building plans to Wajir County's Lands department and pay the approval fee: KSh 5,000 in town, KSh 2,000 in rural areas, KSh 10,000 for a storey building. You also pay KSh 2,000 per inspection stage and KSh 3,000 for the occupation permit.

Steps
- Submit your building plans to the county and pay the approval fee: KSh 5,000 in urban areas, KSh 2,000 in rural areas, KSh 10,000 for a storey building.
- During construction the county inspects at each stage, at KSh 2,000 per stage.
- When the building is done, get a building occupation permit (KSh 3,000) and the public health building occupational certificate (KSh 1,000).
Watch out
- Extending or altering an existing building also needs approval, at KSh 5,000.
