Steps
- Go to the county revenue office in the area where your business is (or a county-appointed agent) and apply.
- Pay the fee for your type of business and zone. You get the licence once you pay.
- Ask for the official county receipt for your payment.
- Put the permit up where people can see it at your business, at all times.
Watch out
- Paying your permit late adds a 30% penalty.
- Fees depend on your zone: Kapenguria and Chepareria pay the most, then Kacheliba, Ortum and Sigor, then other areas.
- Only pay a county collector who is wearing a county ID card.
