Kenya had 22,102,532 registered voters for the 2022 General Election, and the IEBC publishes the full breakdown by county, constituency, ward and polling station on iebc.or.ke. Official results come only from the IEBC, which declares them and publishes the winners in the Kenya Gazette.

- How long
- The IEBC chair must declare the presidential result within 7 days of the vote.

Steps
- Open the IEBC "Statistics of Voters 2022" page and download the register numbers per county, constituency, ward, polling station, prison or for Kenyans abroad.
- The county list gives the national total: 22,102,532 registered voters for the 2022 General Election.
- Presidential results from each polling station are recorded on Form 34A. Results for MP, Woman Member, Senator, Governor and MCA use Forms 35A to 39A.
- At the national tallying centre the IEBC chair checks the results against Forms 34A and 34B (the constituency totals) and completes Form 34C, the national tally.
- The final declaration is published in the Kenya Gazette. The 2022 presidential declaration is Gazette Notice No. 9773 of 16 August 2022, listed on the IEBC Gazette Notices page.
Watch out
- Results are first announced at each polling station by the presiding officer, before they move up to the constituency and national tally.
- The 2022 figures are not today's register. In the 2026 registration drive alone, 1,876,274 new voters registered between 30 March and 23 April 2026.
- Kenyans registered abroad are in a separate list, the Register of Voters Residing Outside Kenya.
