Pay Mombasa County land rates online

Pay Mombasa land rates online on the county eServices portal (eportal.mombasa.go.ke) by 31 March to avoid a 3% monthly penalty: sign up with your National ID, pick Land Rates, pay by M-PESA, Airtel Money, card or PesaLink, then print your receipt.

- Deadline
- Pay by 31 March. Rates still unpaid after that attract a 3% penalty every month.

What you need
- Your National ID number and first name (personal account)
- For a company: business registration number and full business name
Steps
- Sign up on eportal.mombasa.go.ke with your National ID (or your business registration number).
- Know the rate: it is 8% of your land's 1991 unimproved site value for homes, and 14% for commercial property.
- On the dashboard, choose Land Rates.
- Pay with M-PESA, Airtel Money, a debit or credit card, or PesaLink bank transfer.
- Print your receipt and statement from the portal.
Watch out
- Land rates are paid every year. You can also print a statement, update your property details or track a transfer on the same portal.
- No smartphone? The county says the same services also run on its mobile app and USSD.
