In Mombasa a saloon car pays KSh 200 a day, KSh 3,300 a month or KSh 35,600 a year to park. Pay online on the county eServices portal by M-PESA, Airtel Money or card, and expect a KSh 1,000 clamping fee if you park without paying.

Steps
- Pick daily, monthly or yearly parking. A saloon car is KSh 200 a day; canters and pickups of 2-5 tonnes are KSh 400.
- Sign up on the Mombasa County eServices portal (eportal.mombasa.go.ke) with your National ID number.
- Open Parking and pay for your vehicle. You can pay for several vehicles at once.
- Pay by M-PESA, Airtel Money, debit/credit card or Pesalink bank transfer.
Watch out
- If you're clamped and don't pay, a saloon car is charged another KSh 1,000 for every month you default.
- Double parking, illegal parking or blocking traffic costs KSh 5,000.
- These rates are set for 1 January to 31 December 2026 and can change with the next Finance Act.
Who can apply
- Anyone parking in county parking places in Mombasa, including recreational areas. Areas that are mainly residential are not charged.
