Register and get a practising licence as a physiotherapist (PCK)

After you pass the PCK exam, apply for registration and your practising licence online on the PCK portal within 60 days of the results. The licence is KSh 3,000 for EAC physiotherapists and must be renewed every year.

- Online on the PCK portal (portal.pck.go.ke). PCK office: Bemuda Plaza, Ngong Road, Ground Office A2, Nairobi.
What you need
- Copy of your ID or passport
- Two coloured passport-size photos
- Certified copies of your professional and academic certificates
- Proof you passed the PCK pre-registration exam
- Filled, stamped and signed internship completion assessment forms
- Proof you paid the registration fee
Steps
- Finish your training and internship, then sit and pass the PCK exam.
- Within 60 days of the results, fill in the registration and licensing forms online on the PCK portal and upload your documents.
- PCK issues your practising licence within 48 hours and your registration certificate within 30 days.
- Renew your licence every year on the portal, with your CPD hours and the expired licence.
Watch out
- Apply within 30 days of the exam results and you skip the KSh 1,000 processing fee.
- Renew between the first working day of September and the last working day of November each year.
- You need at least 40 CPD hours in the calendar year to renew.
Who can apply
- Every physiotherapist who practises in Kenya. You must be registered and hold a licence.
- You trained at an approved institution and sat the PCK exam.
