Steps

  1. Email incidents@ke-cirt.go.ke or call 0703 042 700 and say what happened, on which app or site.
  2. If a child is being cyberbullied, report the incident the same way; harassing or spreading malicious rumours about people online is a crime.
  3. If you suspect your child is being bullied, contact the relevant professionals at their school.

Watch out

  • Watch for signs: a child who seems upset or angry after going online, or becomes secretive about what they do online.
  • Prevention helps: consider parental locks on shared devices and some websites, and teach children their privacy settings.

Who can apply

  • Children and teens, and their parents, guardians or teachers, can report concerns.
