What you need

  • The documents the exam application asks you to upload
  • A working, fully charged laptop to sit the exam on

Steps

  1. Get an account. If you are still in college, your institution indexes you and you get an email link. Otherwise register on the PPB Online Services Portal via 'Not Registered' and pick 'Student' as your cadre.
  2. Click Exams, then Exam Application. Choose 'First Attempt' if it is your first board exam, or 'Resit' and the number of attempts.
  3. Upload your documents, click Save & Continue, then Make Payments and follow the instructions on the invoice.
  4. After payment you can download a receipt. When the application is processed you get another notice and can download your exam card.
  5. Install Safe Exam Browser, try a mock, and attend the mandatory rehearsal at your exam centre with the laptop you will use.

Watch out

  • If you fail, you can resit at most two times within five years.
  • You can only do the mocks and the exam in Safe Exam Browser, so install it early on your laptop.
  • Sit the exam only at your assigned centre. Doing it anywhere else means disqualification.

Who can apply

  • Pharmacists: a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) with a curriculum PPB accepts
  • Pharmacists: KCSE (O-level) C+ or equivalent
  • Pharmacists: good English and basic Kiswahili
  • Part-time or distance-learning B.Pharm degrees are not recognised
