TSC teacher internship programme: who qualifies and how to apply
Teachers Service Commission · sources read 1 Oct 2026
TSC fills teacher intern posts through adverts, and you apply online on the TSC portal while an advert is open. You must already be registered with TSC. The TSC recruitment portal is closed right now, so wait for the next advert.
- Fee
- We couldn't confirm a fee from the official page. Check it there before you pay.
- Where
- Online on the TSC online system (teachersonline.tsc.go.ke / tsconline.tsc.go.ke) when an advert is open
Steps
- If you are not yet a registered teacher, register with TSC first on the TSC online system.
- Wait for TSC to advertise intern posts. The TSC recruitment portal is closed until a recruitment is announced.
- When the advert is out, log in to the TSC online system, apply for the post you qualify for and track your application there.
Watch out
- Applying is free, and if you apply online you don't need to send a hard copy. Anyone asking you to pay for an intern post is a fraudster.
- If you are already a registered teacher, don't register again: use your existing TSC account.
Who can apply
- Teachers registered with TSC. It is an offence to teach without TSC registration.
